The Seven Islands of Qoy
A downloadable game
You were found as a baby on the shores of the hidden island of Page and trained to become one of their fighters. Every decade, two fighters per island enter into The Tournament of Ascension to find a new Key Protector. You are one of those fighters, and it all begins today…
The Seven Islands of Qoy is a solo writing RPG that's a blend of strange kung fu fights and investigative mystery.
Use the one page document to start your journal about being a fighter for one of the mystical islands who is investigating 3 different mysteries. The prompt table will slowly guide you through weeks of fights, interactions, and opportunities to get your imagination and creativity cooking.
I was heavily inspired by The Immortal Iron Fist run by David Aja, Matt Fraction, and Ed Brubaker. If you haven't checked out their brilliant run on that comic, please do so, it's absolute genius and fun. Their second storyline, The Seven Capital Cities of Heaven is perfection, and will help you unleash the underground gonzo side of your brain that will make this game even more fun!
To play this game, you only need a d20, a d6, and the way and will to write out an awesome adventure.
This game was created using the Second Guess System by Gamenomicon - which is utterly brilliant in construction - and inspired by their Hard Case game - a brilliant single page of construction and genre.
If you like this, please check out my other single page solo journaling rpgs:
- Welcome To Faraday - a suburban horror story
- The Lighthouse at Kindred Rocks - an eerie coastal town mystery
- The Heist on Foley Lane - a revenge heist story
- The Cave Outside Heltrap - a fantasy cave clearing adventure
- Escape From Isla del Mundo - a monster island/hunting story

Oh my daze, I didn't know this was a thing.
I really enjoyed that Immortal Iron Fist run too.
Downloaded!
Hey! Really hope you dig it - and that run on Immortal Iron Fist was an all time classic [and the run afterwards by Duane Swierczynski was also very very cool].
